Marcus,

Nice find! So, in using the little tool there, it's suggesting I have:

 http://injuredrunner.com/injury_region/foot/foot_severs.htm

However the description says it happens in children. Despite my inability to conduct myself as an adult, I assure you, I am 36.

Did you see the part about being able to run in that description? Because I did.

Have you poked around injuredrunner.com at all? I just found this link and while the design is awful, there's actually some good content there.

Bob,

I am sure they could know the nature of the injury, but since I am self insured I have really only gone to one PT appointment. He thought it was a result of a leg length discrepancy and put a lift in my shoe. That hasn't helped.

From what I have read cortisone injections for Achilles problems are contra-indicated as the risk for rupture is too high.

If anyone is reading this that has black market cortisone though...email me. Unless you are a cop, then don't. Unless you are a crooked cop, but I repeat myself.

"my heel feels about the same as it did July 15th"

Do they know the nature of the injury? Cortisone shots often do the trick, if it's inflammation-related. I guess they told you to stretch, too? I'm not a doctor, but my caller ID says I am.

"I decided it was time to buy a helmet."

The skull is nature's helmet. But then again nature never thought you'd be hit by a car while on a bike. Stupid nature!
