Taking time off
I read a few running blogs, and from time to time the topic of taking extended time off comes up.
I have a confession. The idea of taking extended time off scares the hell out of me.
I worry that I will lose my motivation to run. I worry that I will gain weight. I worry that I will be overwhelmed with thoughts about smoking. I worry that the therapeutic nature of running will leave me emotionally out of sorts.
Overall it’s not that bad, I mean, I just don’t take extended time off. i can’t remember the last time I went more than 2 days in a row without running. The only problem is that I live in fear of injury. *shudder*
