Absence of doing

I think most people find quitting hard because there is an absence of doing. Meaning, if there is something in your life that you want to change (like exercise, or clean) you know what to do. You can just do those things. With addiction you have to not do, and I think that makes people uncomfortable. At least, it seems that way to me. :)

Very true! It’s figuring out how to fill in the holes where smoking used to be. I’ve tried to add walking where one of my morning smoke breaks used to be, and that has helped a lot. Thankfully it’s starting to seem more normal not to smoke, but how you said it is very well put. I still feel it on weekends to some degree.

I just tuned into your website and saw that you’re up to 1 minute smoke-free now. Great job so far!! :-)

  4. My bad Don, it was a typo that made it start last night :) It starts tonite.
