Numb Thumb

Published by Nathan Powell on November 20, 2006 02:48 pm under computers

Strangely my right thumb has been going numb lately.  I think it might be RSI related.  I am going to take some advil to see if it’s just some wrist swelling or something.  Anyone else have problems with this?

Nope .Only RSI was wrist pain that was fixed by moving to ergo keyboard. Occasionally it crops up when using a laptop a lot, but so far I’ve been pretty lucky.

Well, I quit using a mouse altogether…it’s not yet fixed though. Though that did seem to help. Perhaps a trackball is in order

Hi Joel, and thanks for posting. I wouldn’t get too upset, see what the doc says. I am 34 as well, perhaps it’s the age when the body rebels ;)

Post back and let us know how you make out.
